Andy MacMillan

Andy guided his first canoe trip with Camp Temagami in 1989, and he has been guiding annually since 2000. His favourite thing about guiding is the freedom of exploring wilderness routes with young people, and his favourite trip meal is ham steaks, with Clam Bacon Alfredo coming in a close second place. During the off-season, Andy lives in Loretto, Ontario, and teaches social science at the Country Day School in King City. He can usually be found outdoors: fishing in the fall, and skiing, dogsledding, and playing and coaching hockey in the winter. He hasn’t kept track of the kilometers he’s paddled, but it has been thousands.
