“But love of the wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only home we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need – if only we had eyes to see.”
Northern Canada is full of pristine remote river travel. It is one of the few accessible regions in the world where canoeists can travel for weeks and experience uninterrupted wilderness. Groups embark on a single expedition ranging from 20 to 40 days in duration. All routes require travel by vehicle north of our base camp.
Our trips include routes in northern Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and Labrador. We run rivers in Ontario to James and Hudson Bay including the Missinaibi, Albany, Attawapiskat, and Winisk. Rivers in Quebec include the Broadback, Eastman, Peribonka and Sakami. We paddle the Gammon, Bloodvein, Berens, and Pigeon rivers in Manitoba, and also explore the sea of caribou moss in the remote wilderness of Labrador. Our long trips provide a truly unique and life changing experience.
