Reaching us

For general questions, travel information, and participant updates, the best way to reach us is by email (info@camptemagami.com). We’ll send an update when campers arrive safely on the island and provide limited updates, including photos, on our social media. Please reserve phone calls for urgent matters.

Staying connected with your camper

You’re welcome to send mail to your camper, but please send it early to ensure it arrives before they return home.

You can also email Letters@camptemagami.com, which we will print and deliver to your child. Please do not send photos or attachments via email. Note that your child cannot respond via email, but they are welcome to write postcards from camp, with stamps available for purchase at the Tuck Shop.

Care packages

Given our base camp’s location on an island, receiving packages is often difficult, expensive, and delayed. Packages may not arrive until after campers have returned home. Instead, we recommend sending letters and considering adding a store credit for your camper to use at the Tuck Shop. This is a great way to provide them with snacks and other essentials during their stay. Save special treats for a welcome home celebration!

Electronics at Camp

Campers are welcome to bring mobile phones, iPods, or video games for the bus ride, though we encourage them to use this time to get to know one another. Once at camp, all electronic devices will be collected and stored for safekeeping. Please note that there is no cell signal on the island, and most cabins do not have electrical service.

No live trip updates

Updates about campers while they are at camp are very limited. We typically post photos to our social media when campers leave for trips and upon their return.

We operate on a “no news is good news” policy, meaning that unless there is an emergency, you likely won’t hear from us. While we are in contact with sections during their trips, to maintain the safety and authenticity of our program, we do not message sections while they are out on the water.
