Knowledge and Guidance
Camp Temagami's staff have a wealth of experience both working with children and canoeing Canada's outdoors. Traditionally known as Guides or Assistant Guides, the majority of our staff are experienced educators –people who have the maturity, know-how, and teaching skills to ensure that every camper has an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. The average age of our guides last year was 32, and that of our assistant guides was 22.
As a matter of course, all trips have certified water safety and wilderness first-aid trained staff. All our remote trips take satellite phones as a precaution against the unlikely event of a major emergency. There is nothing we take more seriously than the safety of our campers.
